Tammy smiled sheepishly at Stephanie. "I've never actually showed before," she admitted with a small laugh. "I've been to shows to watch and stuff...But I haven't ever competed," she said.

"You could adopt a horse," Stephanie said, watching the tear coming in Millie's eye. "That's what Tammy and I are doing."

Tammy smiled. "I want to so badly!" she said, laughing. "I just never really got around to it," she said. She felt bad at the tear in Millie's eye. "Yeah, some of the horses at the Rescue Centre really need some loving," she said to the other girl gently. "It'd be great for both of you!"

"My horse was put down at the weekend, I know it's childish for me to cry but me and him were made for each other, he was my best friend, I had him for 7 years too!"

"No, it's not childish, Millie!" Stephanie said, gasping. "That's horrible, you have all the rights in the world to cry!"

Tammy bit her lip. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" she said. "That must have been awful." She felt so bad for Millie. She'd felt sad enough when her pet goldfish had died, poor Millie losing her horse! "I wish there was something I could say," she said quietly.

"Don't worry but thank you for caring," Millie carried on read the page about horse parts even though she knows to of the back of her hand.

"Why was he put down? Colic?" Stephanie asked, curiosity grabbing her.

Tammy flicked through her book and tried to take some last minute notes, but she strained her ears for Millie's answer, trying not to make it obvious. She was nosey, she couldn't help it.
