Stephanie led Nevvy back to the Lesson Stable after her lesson. She slipped his bridle off, saddle, and saddle pad, then put it away in the tack room. She walked back and clipped Nevvy's halter to the cross-ties.
She took the curry comb out of the grooming supplies box and curried Nvvy's body all over. Then, Stephanie brushed over him with the hard-bristle brush, and after that she gave him an extra shine with the soft-bristle brush.
Picking up Nevvy's leg, Stephanie grabbed a hoof pick and knocked all the dirt and a few tiny rocks out of his hoof. She did the same to the other three hooves.
"That's a good boy," she said, giving Nevvy a pat as she picked up a comb. She ran it through his silky mane and forelock, then combed through his tail.
After she was done, Stephanie released Nevvy from the cross-ties and put him back in his stall. She ran back to the tack room to get a treat, then came back and fed Nevvy an apple-flavored cookie.
