Stephanie led Nevvy over to the place in the ring where Lacie had told her to have him.

Lacie took the rein and went round to the right side of Nevvy she took the stirrup down and held it firmly. "Hop on," She said to stephanie.

"Alright," Stephanie murmured. She put her foot in the stirrup iron and swung her leg over Nevvy's back. "I can jump up to five feet, just to let you know."

Stephanie squeezed Nevvy's sides with her legs, and he started walking. Stephanie sat straight in the saddle and kept her shoulders back and her heels down.

"Once you've walked him round twice go into trot and show me what exisizes you know," Lacie said standing in the middle of the school.

Stephanie walked him around twice, then started backing him up. After that, she trotted him forward, then let him fall into the canter. She turned him sharply, yet cleanly, at each corner, then brought him to a halt in front of Lacie. "That's the only way I was ever taught to warm up a horse."

"What to just canter off?" Lacie said worring "We have a lot of work to do, just trot him round twice then come back here and we'll start learning some new warm ups,"

"Ok, what did they teach you at your last riding schoo?" Lacie was confused "Do you know where X is? Well X is where I'm standing," She moved into the center of the srena, X, "What you do is leave the track between the coner marker and the center marker, in the case the corner marker is H and the center marker is E, then you ride down to where I and then you meet the track again over here," she then walked over to the track between M and B.
